How to add users to LUMA1

LUMA1 has a number of options to add named users to the system with full activity tracking including single and batch user creation

1. Secure hub: a portal with secure access requiring a user ID and password to log in and view content. User activity is tracked by name. Batch import using CSV, SSO, or manual creation of users can be used in this setup with the option of automatically sending a customized welcome email with credentials. Groups can be defined to segregate content access.

2. Self-Registration Playlist or Hub: the sharing of a URL with a form for viewers to complete to access a specific playlist (or grouping) of videos/content or the full hub. User activity is tracked by name. The minimum information required in the form is the viewer’s name with either a telephone or email address and creation of a password. Secure Mode can be enabled to require a key along with the URL to register. Below are examples of self-registration forms.

4. Direct Video or Playlist Sharing: Share a video with named tracking using the email, text or SCORM option. SCORM allows you to download a file to then

upload to your standard compliant LMS. This then tracks user activity as per the SCORM standard in the LMS (IE. Start Time, End Time, Completions, Score) with full activity tracking in LUMA1 reports. LUMA1 creates SCORM 1.2 compliant content and can also include the import of SCORM content into LUMA1 to then blend into a playlist and share.

Share anonymously to WordPress, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Teams or embed to a website or share a basic URL or QR code. Optionally, select a channel to share in your LUMA1 hub.

5. LUMA1 Content API: Creators can share content using the embed option with named tracking using an API from the LUMA1 toolkit. This API looks for the user ID, First Name and Last Name from your system where you are sharing the content, then posts completion and score once the end user completes the content (proceeds through the last frame of the last video or clicks “report

completion” on an end page). Instructions are available to properly utilize this API. If these instructions are not implemented, activity is tracked as anonymous.
